This packaging design was a solution to expressing the identity of a product authentically. The Samebito Sake Saison is a beer inspired by the Japanese tradition of yōkai folklore. Samebito is a creature character originating from the tale “The Gratitude of the Samebito.” My goal was to not only communicate the bright flavor profile of the beer through the label, but also capture the playfulness and mystical qualities of Samebito as well.
